We may collect your name, email address, phone number, travel preferences, enquiry history and booking details. If a booking proceeds, we may also need traveller information required by hotels, transport providers or authorities. Please do not send passport or payment details through a general enquiry form, email or WhatsApp unless we specifically provide a secure method.
2. How we use information
We use information to answer enquiries, design and deliver travel services, manage bookings and support, maintain security, meet legal obligations and—where you have chosen it—send relevant updates. We do not sell personal information.
3. Overseas service delivery
Because our journeys take place in China, relevant booking information may need to be shared with carefully selected service providers in China, such as hotels, guides and transport operators. We limit this to what is reasonably necessary to provide the service and take reasonable steps to protect it.
4. Service providers
We may use providers for website hosting, email, customer support, analytics and future payment processing. These providers may process data in Australia or other countries under their own security and privacy commitments.
5. Storage and security
We use access controls, encrypted connections, restricted administrative permissions and other reasonable safeguards. No online service can promise absolute security. If we no longer need information, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
6. Access, correction and complaints
You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold, or raise a privacy concern, by emailing hello@goeasttravel.com.au. We will acknowledge your request and respond within a reasonable time. If you remain dissatisfied, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The date above shows the latest revision.
